Large Leather Portfolio

The Design This large leather portfolio fits a 13″ MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, any size of iPad Pro and normal file folders nicely in the left side pocket. It was designed for 8 ½ x 11 letter size or European A4 notepad on the right side from above or a spiral notebook from the side since that flap is sewn only on two sides. It comes with two pen holders designed to fit a wide range of thickness of pens securely. And the leather padfolio was made with no breakable parts. The closure is just a strap and a butterfly slot. And there are two pen holders. One for an Apple Pencil and one for a regular pen.  Simple- This Large Leather Portfolio is simple, but a dozen prototypes and many more years poured into the design to make it just right.  Versatile- The side that holds the paper is only sewn on the right and bottom sides. The left and top are open for sliding in a pad of paper from the top or a spiral book oriented pad of paper from the left side.  One Piece Body- This Large Leather Portfolio is simple, but hours and hours poured into the design to keep it that way. It’s built with just one solid piece of leather to reduce seams because seams are where, if there’s going to be a problem, it’ll fall apart.  Stitching- And we sew this leather portfolio at only 5 stitches per inch so there will be more leather between the needle holes and fewer holes so a tear doesn’t have a place to start. The padfolio is designed to slide in 8 ½ x 11 letter size pads of paper or European A4 notepads from above or the side. It also fits a spiral notebook that enters from the side. The flap there is sewn only on two sides. The Materials Leather- We only use full grain to make this large leather portfolio, and it’s thicker than boot leather. Full grain is important since the grain is the toughest and most water resistant part of the leather. Low quality leather portfolio companies shave off the top of the hide to get rid of the scars and blemishes so they don’t have to cut around them and throw all of that leather in the trash. But in doing so, they shave off the grain. That’s like shaving the shingles off of your roof. Lining- We lined this leather portfolio with smooth pigskin so it lasts a long long time and so papers to slide smoothly in and out. And the pigskin is stronger than the cowskin.  Thread- We sew our leather portfolio with an extremely strong UV resistant industrial marine grade polyester that just won’t fall apart or wear away easily. They use this German thread for when it just has to last or someone could die. Like for parachutes and sails on ships.  Saddle Rivets- We hammer solid copper rivets into the places that get the most stress so the stitching never even gets the chance to start to coming loose.
